Warragul Warriors – What a Journey

What an incredible ride it’s been! Over eight tournaments, from Geelong to Sale, our boys hit the court for 42 games—walking away with 28 wins, 13 losses, and a draw. Powered by more than 32 hours of training, their dedication, talent, and resilience never wavered.

But this team wasn’t just about skill—it was about connection. Built on belief, humility, and genuine mateship, they supported one another every step of the way. No challenge felt too big, and that unshakable belief led them to an undefeated run and a championship victory at the Junior Country Championships (JCC).

Their success didn’t go unnoticed. Six players were selected for Gold Nugget tryouts, with five going on to represent at the Southern Cross Challenge and Albury Cup—further proof of the outstanding talent within this group.

Heading into JCC, coaches Heath and Robbie rallied the team around one powerful motto: “It’s gonna be one hell of a story.” And it truly was.

Through the ups and downs of the season, the boys arrived in Ballarat focused and united. Bringing home the club’s second JCC title in three years was more than just a win—it was a moment that embodied belief, growth, and the strength of sticking together.

This team has built something unforgettable. The moments, the memories, and the friendships will echo long after the final buzzer.

One hell of a story? Without a doubt. And a proud chapter in the history of Warragul basketball.

Now, the journey continues—with the team set to compete at the National Junior Classic in June, and the National Club Championships in Western Australia this October.
